Faster Speeds, Same Price
The old nbn® 250 plan is now nbn® 750, delivering triple the download speed (750 Mbps) and double the upload speed (50 Mbps) for eligible FTTP and HFC customers. At no extra cost.
1300 166 331nbn® Home Superfast.
nbn® 750, also known as the Home Superfast plan, offers download speeds of 750 Mbps, which is many times faster than the average internet speed in Australia.
If you work from home, download a lot of large files or spend a lot of time gaming, nbn® Home Superfast may better suit your needs.
In a house of four or five people who are all streaming, downloading and gaming at once, nbn® 750 plans will keep your connection smooth and fast.
Can I get nbn® home superfast?
nbn® 750 plans aren’t available to every address. To connect to nbn® Home Superfast, you’ll need either a Fibre to the Premises (FTTP) or Hybrid Fibre Coaxial (HFC) connection.
If you don’t already have FTTP, NBN Co is continuing its fibre rollout, aiming to reach around 90% of Australian homes and businesses by the end of 2026.

nbn® 750 plans FAQs
As of 14 September 2025, nbn® 250 (250/25 Mbps) has been uplifted to nbn® 750 (750/50 Mbps) as part of the nationwide nbn® speed upgrade.
If you were previously on nbn® 250, your plan has already been upgraded automatically at no extra cost.
This gives you triple the download speed and double the upload speed without paying more.
To get the full benefit of 750 Mbps download speeds, you’ll need a router that supports gigabit speeds. If your router is more than five years old, it may not deliver the best performance.
We recommend using a modern gigabit-capable router, such as the eero 7 mesh router available with eligible NodeOne plans.
In Australia, nbn® 750 plans (previously known as nbn® 250) are only available over certain connection types. To connect to nbn® Home Superfast, you’ll need either a Fibre to the Premises (FTTP) or Hybrid Fibre Coaxial (HFC) connection at your property.
If you don’t already have FTTP, NBN Co is continuing its fibre rollout and expects to make higher speed tiers available to around 90% of homes and businesses by the end of 2026.
nbn® 750 (previously nbn® 250) provides download speeds of up to 750 Mbps and upload speeds of up to 50 Mbps.
To put this in perspective, at 750 Mbps you could download a 5 GB file in less than a minute. You can also stream ultra-high-definition (4K or 8K) video content on multiple devices at the same time without buffering or lag.
The upload speed of 50 Mbps makes it fast and efficient to upload large files to cloud storage, share media online, and run video calls smoothly.
As always, the actual speeds you experience may vary depending on your equipment, network congestion, and distance from the nbn® connection box.
