The  nbn® FTTP rollout is gaining speed. Are you eligible to upgrade?

If you’re not already connected to FTTP at your place, we’ve got good news. There’s a good chance you’re already eligible for an FTTP upgrade, or will be very soon.

According to the NBN Co, by the end of 2023 approximately 1.5 million premises that currently access the nbn® network via FTTC will be able to upgrade to FTTP and access the highest residential speeds available.

Then, by the end of 2025, NBN Co. is on track to enable up around 90% of homes and businesses in Australia (that’s about 10 million premises), to access faster internet through FTTP.

How to get an nbn® FTTP upgrade

It’s easy to upgrade to FTTP in just a few simple steps:

• Check the nbn® upgrade map to see if FTTP is available in your area. 
• Place an order with us for one of the three fastest speed tiers. 
• NBN Co will connect you to FTTP within a few weeks. 

The three eligible speed tiers include our nbn® Home Fast (100 Mbps), Home Superfast (250 Mbps) and Home Ultrafast (1000 Mbps) FTTP plans. You can check an address for nbn® here.

If you’re looking for FTTP plans to run your business, you can trigger an upgrade with our top three Business plans: Business nbn® 250, Business nbn® 500 and Business nbn® 1000 plans.

To upgrade to FTTP, an nbn® technician may need to visit your premises and install certain equipment. 

This can include replacing your existing nbn® connection box with a new FTTP box, installing new cabling and connecting your devices to the new network.

The cost of upgrading to FTTP is based on your location and how complex the installation is.
