How do I change my NBN provider to a Local WA Company?

Keep it in WA

Are you looking to move to a local WA Internet company that is based over here with local support and their own network?  Follow our simple guide to changing your internet provider.

How to Change your Provider.

1. Check your contract

It’s important to first check if you are out of contract to avoid any termination fees.

2. Contact NodeOne and pick a plan.

If you’re good to go, head over to our Home Internet Plans page or give our sales team a call on 1300 166 331 to check out our current offers and what plan suits you best.

We have a variety of superfast Fixed Wireless internet plans delivered by our own network or some great NBN plans serviced by Western Australians.

3. Cancel your old service.

Once the connection has been arranged, your current provider will be notified by NBN that you have moved service.  However, you will still need to notify your current provider that you wish to cancel your service and close your account.

How long does it take?

NBN to NBN.

If we’re moving your NBN service, then it’s easy as.  We will place your order with NBN and if you’re on FTTP (Fibre to the Premise), then you will be lucky enough to be ready on NodeOne within about 30 minutes.

If you are on NBN FTTN (Fibre to the Node – we can help you work that out), then the changeover will take 1-2 working days. But don’t worry your current service will still work until the changeover.  You will be notified when this will happen.

NBN to NodeOne Fixed Wireless.

If you move to a super-fast Fixed Wireless service, then we will organise a date for install with you and you will need to cancel your NBN service with your provider.  We recommend leaving a bit of an overlap between the 2 services so there’s no stress getting your new service up and running.

Then it’s as easy as plugging in the new router we have sent you or if you’re keeping your current router, our WA support team will talk you through the simple steps.
